BCHS wrapped up the regular season Friday afternoon against Dodge County at home. The teams split when they played in Eastman with the Lady Royals and Indians winning.

Kalyria Jones had11 first-half points to help the Lady Royals to a 26-23 halftime lead. In the third, BC opened up a 16-point advantage and still led by 13 going to the fourth.

It was there where both offenses cooled with BC scoring just four points, Dodge scored five. Bleckley won 52-40. Jones finished with 17 points. Camya Harris added 14 points.

The Royals held an 18-13 lead at halftime. A tightly contested third quarter saw Dodge take a three-point lead to the fourth.

Lucas Funeral Home was Friday's game sponsor. On hand to receive the game jersey from boys head coach Garrett Collins is owner Brian Lucas (left) and funeral director Willie Spivey.


A three-point Indian lead was cut to one by Marty Beck’s basket with 35 seconds left. BC then proceeded to foul Indian players to get into the bonus. Dodge missed both free throws.

As time wound down, Patrick Robets raced to the basket and laid it in with five seconds left. Dodge’s last second shot fell short as Bleckley won 41-40. Roberts had 19 points.
