Since joining the MGMSAA, Jeff Davis softball has been one of the top programs in the region. BCMS has had little luck against them. However, that changed Monday afternoon in Cochran.

Lilla Graham.

Things got off to a good start as Rayea Dominy connected on a two-run home run in the first. Runs in the second and fourth by the Lady Jackets tied the score. Chloe Williams RBI single in the fifth gave BC a 3-2 lead.

JD tied the score in the sixth and retook the lead on a solo home run in the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh, Sarah Vaughn singled and Dominy was intentionally walked. Runners moved up to second and third following a groundout.

Ja’Nyzia Owens tosses to first.

With one out, Kate Williams blasted a single, scoring both runners and giving the Lady Royals a 5-4 walkoff win. Dominy was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and also struck out eight. Jeriyah Evans went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles. Augusta Finch was 2 for 4. Lilla Graham went 2 for 2.
