BCHS closed out the regular season Thursday afternoon against Hawkinsville. Though having already clinched a playoff by being ranked in the GHSA softball power rankings, they could potentially improve their ranking with a win.

Zoey Adams

Things got off to a rough start as Hawkinsville had a 7-1 lead after two and half innings. The Lady Royals though would begin a comeback. One run in the third, two in fourth and two more in the fifth cut the deficit to 7-6. Addison Hill’s two-out hit in the sixth tied the game.

Jada Davus

But Hawkinsville, aided by three Bleckley errors, scored one in the seventh. BC was retired in order in the home half as they lost 8-7. For the second time this season, Bleckley out hit their opponent but lost.

Emmie Williams

The Lady Royals outhit the Lady Red Devils 12-7 but also committed nine errors. Hill and Kaylee Rae Barrs both went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI/ Zoey Adams was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Alaysia Coley was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Lyric Stephens went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.
