Sixth graders with their certificates.
During her first stint as BCMS head competition cheer coach, Becky Wilson (and assistant Elizabeth Brown) won three straight MGMSAA titles,. Wilson returned as head coach two years ago. Last season, the squad was young and undersized. But with a year of experience, they were back at a winning level this season.
This large eighth grade class means there could be many who will be trying to continue their cheer careers with the Royals next year.
The squad finished first or second in all competitions, including region, where they missed first place by one point. Cheerleaders, parents and coach Wilson (Brown was absent due to illness) gathered together to celebrate the seaon Tuesday night.
