End of the year local sports highlights.

As 2025 winds down, let's take a look back at some of the highlights from another good year for local sports teams.

Spring- BCHS baseball won their fifth straight region title and made it to the quarterfinals. Both BCHS tennis teams won region and the boys finished state runner up.

In high school track, the girls team won region, boys were region runner up and won the state title. Boys middle school track also won region, boys tennis finished region runner up. BCMS baseball finished region runner up.

Also, Middle Georgia State men's basketball made it to the NAIA national tournament for the first time in program history. It was the final year for Knights athletics in NAIA as they're now a provisional member of NCAA D2.

Basketball wasn't the only sport to close out their time in NAIA on a high note. Knights softball won the SSAC tournament title and got the program's first bid into the NAIA tournament.

Summer- The 10u baseball team won state.

Fall- Both BCHS cross country teams won region and state titles. BCHS Cheerleading won region and finished sixth at state. BCHS Football made it to the second round of state.

Both BCMS Cross Country teams won region. The boys won state, the girls finished state runner up. BCMS Football finished regon runner up as did BCMS Softball.
