Hot bats propel Bleckley teams to wins.

No comebacks were needed Tuesday. Though the 9-10 boys had to survive a comeback attempt, both Bleckley All-Star teams picked up wins in Eastman. Both had big days at the plate.

Phillip Ard throws to first.


A 13-run first inning powered the 7-8 boys to a 19-1 win over Soperton. All 11 players recored at least one hit in the win. Cochran plays Wednesday at 6:45 pm.

Christian Kight has the ball at first.


The 9-10 boys had a 11-2 lead over Wheeler County after two innings. Wheeler drew within one in the third. CBRD answered with seven more runs.

Blake Bohannon gets a hit for the 9-10 boys.


Bleckley led by as many as 11 runs en route to a 24-17 win. All players had at least two hits as the team had 11 extra base hits in their first all-star win of the year.

Harley Purser slides into third.


The team will try to stay alive Wednesday at 8:30 pm. Gilrs 9-10 action starts that day also. Cochran plays at 5:30.
