Wednesday was the end of the road for BCMS basketball. Road trips that is. Bleckley had its final road games of the regular season at Toombs County.

Once the Barons return from Christmas break, they'll play in the new middle school gym. In their road finale, the girls broke through with a win while a bad third quarter cost the boys.

The Lady Barons had a 12-2 lead after one quarter. An 11-4 run to end the half pushed the lead to 25-12. Irianna Moss had 10 first half points with Kylie Moe adding 8. A 12-2 third quarter put the game well in hand. Bleckley picked up their first win 38-16.

Austin Simmons had all seven points for the Barons as they trailed 11-7 after one. Bleckley, down two players, went over four minutes without scoring in the second. A Simmons jumper in the final seconds of the half drew BC within 15-12.

Ti'Jea Randall goes up for two.

However, Bleckley was outscored 11-2 in the third. Down 26-14 going into the fourth, they would trail by as many as 16. The Barons lost 36-22. BC has its home debut January 6 vs Dublin at 4 pm.
