Lady Royals continue success in Houston County tourney.
For the second straight tournament, the Lady Royals softball team will enter the final day of play with a perfect record. Friday, BCHS won both its games in the International City Fall Braw. A 1-0 win versus Thomas County Central and 2-0 victory versus Veterans puts has them as the top seed from the "D" bracket. Saturday, Bleckley has games at 10 am as well as 4 and 6 pm all at Houston County High School.

Taking it easy on their final lap.

| This year, the run-a-thon for the BCHS and BCMS track teams was held during the daytime. It began at 6:30 Friday morning. After being out in the sun virtually all day, the runners were hot and tired. So many took it easy on their final lap by walking around the high school track. Both cross country teams begin their season August 28 in Perry at the Mid State Classic. The meet will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. |
