BCMS golf teams finish third in region.
Both BCMS golf teams finished third out of seven MGMSAA teams at the region meet held Thursday. Boys individual scores (18 holes): Maverick Bryant 89, Wesley Hobbs 101, John Austin Stewart 103, Blake Brooks 114, Will Herrington 119. Boys top three team score: 1st Vidalia 330, 2nd Swainsboro 341, 3rd Bleckley County 407. Girls individual scores (nine holes): Sydney Harris 55, Macy Smith 62, Hannah Rogers 65, Meredith Baggs 68. Girls top three team scores: 1st Vidalia 98, 2nd West Laurens 104, 3rd Bleckley County 117.

Boys tennis finishes region runner-up.
The BCMS boys tennis team finished 2nd in the MGMSAA tennis tournament on May 5. In the tournament, BCMS won against Toombs County in round 1 and Dublin in round 2 before losing in the finals to West Laurens. The team finished the season with a 9-3 overall record.
Team members are. Eighth grade: A J Blankenship, Drew Grimsley, Dalton Lucas, Brennen Sanders. Seventh grade: Trevor Barker, Spence Greer, J C Jump, Cody Stoddard. Sixth grade: Chayce Brantley, Dylan Cole, Brody Sanders.

Girls tennis finishes MGMSAA runner-up.
The BCMS girls tennis team finished second in MGMSAA region. After wins over East Laurens and Dodge County, they fell to West Laurens in the finals. Bleckley finishes its year 10-2. Team members are: Eighth Grade Hannah DeLoach, Caroline Meadows, Rebecca Rowland, Katelyn Strickland. Seventh Grade Allison Collins, Emily Dyal, Megan Knight, Morgan Knight, Anjali Patel, Haley Rogers, Samantha Rowland, Daniela Thomas. Sixth grade Hannah Arnold

BCMS sweeps tennis regular season finale.
The BCMS girls and boys tennis teams finish the MGMSAA regular season with 5-0 wins over East Laurens. For the girls, Rebecca Rowland, Hannah DeLoach and Samantha Rowland won in singles. Caroline Meadows/Emily Dyal and Allison Collins/Haley Rogers won at doubles. A J Blankenship, Brennen Sanders and Cody Stoddard won in boys singles. In doubles play, Trevor Barker/J C Jump and Drew Grimsley/Dalton Lucas completed the sweep. Both teams finish the MGMSAA regular season at 6-1 and will be the second seeds in next week's tournament. The girls will play on Monday and the boys on Tuesday. Opening round play will begin at 10:00 at West Laurens High School.

The BCMS girls basketball team got together for a final fellowship as they held their awards banquet Tuesday in the middle school cafeteria.
