Update on 8u baseball at Dixie Youth World Series.

The 8u baseball team sprinted out to a 4-0 record at the Dixie Youth World Series being played in Orangeburg, South Carolina. They lost Sunday evening to South Carolina 5-3. BC can still clinch a berth in the championship game with a win tomorrow morning at 10:30 am.

(Photos contributed.) House of Grace church was transformed into the 50's this weekend as Bleckley Summer Theatre Camp performed "Grease: The School Edition." Parents, families, and friends enjoyed the performance of the children as well as hearing their favorite songs sang.

House of Grace claimed their first Bleckley Church Softball League tournament title today at Ruth Baptist, edging Mt. Calvary Baptist Church team 2 in their best of three series two games to one. Scores were 3-1, 6-8, and 9-4. Macedonia Baptist Church won the sportsmanship award voted on by all teams.

Last fundraiser before the season starts for Lady Royals.



The BCHS softball team has another full season of games ahead. Saturday was their final fundraiser of the summer as they held their annual car wash and bake sale. Proceeds will go toward expenses for the upcoming season. The team thanks everyone who stopped by to support them and everyone who donated.
