There's no easy way to say this.

I apologize for this being so direct, but there's not an easy way to say it' School starts in about a week and I'm not ready financially. The HR checking account which funds the site hasn't recovered from that $400 expense involving my car. The checking account pays for many expenses involved with the site, most notably gas to get to events and games. If you're an advertiser, I hope you'll renew. If you've got an invoice, I ask you to please pay it. If your business has ever considered advertising, now would be a great time. With school starting back, traffic on the site will increase. And I would argue you won't find a better bargain than $35 a month. Please also remember the donate button is there and any donations go to the work PayPal which would also help. Please don't view this as me trying to strong-arm or beg. I'm just asking for help & support so I can continue my job of covering & supporting the community.

A peak at what's to come for Royal Kingsmen.



Parents and friends of this year’s Royal Kingsmen Band got a sneak preview for this upcoming football season Thursday evening in the BCHS gym. The band, dazzlers, and color guard performed several songs, some of them from this year’s halftime show which features hits from the Temptations. New band director Sarah Rosemann also took the opportunity to recognize band leaders, band rookies, as well as those who excelled during the recent band camp. You can check out the Royal Kingsmen on Friday nights this fall.

Registration for football and cheerleading is ongoing at the Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department. Registration is also open for soccer. According to a Facebook announcement, there will be soccer all stars and teams will play in GRPA tournaments. Cost is $55 per child for ages 4 through 12. Bleckley Summer Theatre Camp to perform "Grease, Jr." ***Corrected***

Children participating in this year's Bleckley Summer Theatre Camp will perform the show they've been learning, "Grease, Jr." at House of Grace July 26 and 27. Showtimes are 7 pm that Friday, 2 and 7 pm on Saturday. Admission is $7 adults, $5 for children 12 and under.
