A bit of silliness during the final night of VBS.



It was Parent’s Night for Vacation Bible School at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church Wednesday evening. The theme was “Scuba: Diving into Friedhship with God After watching a skit with Scuba Steve and Dalton, kids performed songs they’d learned during the week. It got a bit silly when the results of offering collections were announced. Children had been bringing money to go toward two children in Nepal. Because the boys outgained the girls, the girls got sprayed with silly string. Another offering was collected and a highlight video was shown before Pastor Doug Stoddard spoke briefly and blessed the hot dog dinner enjoyed.

The Bleckley County High School Competition and Football cheerleaders are selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits and Cookie Dough Kits to help raise funds for the upcoming season. Lakeview Baptist Church held their third night of Vacation Bible School Tuesday evening. This week’s theme has been “Breaker Rock Beach.” There were good meals, time to learn songs, Bible Study, crafts, and time outside for play. The parent’s night program is tomorrow at 8 pm.
