High School Sports
Soccer teams win at Swainsboro.

The Lady Royals edged Swainsboro 2-1 in double overtime, Nyra Waters scored in regulation as well as the game-winning penalty kick. Kyla Davis, Ellen Arnold and Elyse Potts also had pk’s. Emmy Kay Williams had a save in OT. Carys Copeman had an assist. The boys won 3-1 behind two goals from Riley Lawson and one from Marco Garcia. It will be senior night when BCHS hosts Metter April 2. Girls play at 5 pm with senior night recognition between games. Boys to follow.

Easter fun on a Friday night.



Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church held a family Easter celebration Friday night. There was a hot dog dinner and a chance to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Pastor Doug Studdard shared the Holy Week story by using eggs filled with items from that week (IE: a donkey.) There was cookie decorating and of course, an egg hunt to cap the night. William Baggley of First Assembly of God will be guest speaker for Sunrise Service this Sunday at Empire Pentecostal. It starts at 7 am followed by breakfast. The Easter service is at 11 am.
