Season ends for BCHS Tennis teams.

Both the BCHS boys and girls tennis teams fell in GHSA quarterfinal matches played Monday afternoon. The boys lost 0-3 to Brantley County in Nahunta. The girls fell 2-3 to A.C.E. in a match played at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon.

Bleckley Teacher named Special Educator of the Year.

Bleckley Primary teacher Betsy Rycroft was recognized as the ECGLRS (East Central Georgia Learning Resources System) Special Educator of the Year at a ceremony held at the Dublin Country Club May 1. A post on The Support Group Facebook page described Rycroft as a teacher saying, “Betsy leads with heart, patience, and an unwavering belief in her students. She creates a space where students feel seen, supported, and capable—and that kind of impact lasts far beyond the classroom..”
