High School Sports
Season ends for Royals in semifinals.



BCHS saw their season end in the final four with a pair of losses to Irwin County. The Indians won game one 8-4. James Fordham was 3 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Jacob Grant went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Game two saw Irwin score six runs in the bottom of the fifth en route to a 10-3 win. BC had three hits, two errors. Eli Mullis was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI The Royals finish 24-14.

Annual student art exhibit held.


The 30th annual BCHS Student Art Exhibit took place last night in the high school auditorium. On display was works from the classes of teacher Robin Raffield. Members of the Royal Singers provided entertainment before the announcements. There were 13 honorable mentions, each receiving $25. They were: India Johnson, Ellen Arnold , Jana Tomlin, Gage Wrye, Elizabeth Howell, Will Scott, Brooklyn Washington, Elizabeth Arnold, Mara Bermudez Rodriguez, Trent Crosby, Lily Brooks, Peyton Turknett , Alexis Roberts. Third place, winning $50 was Abigale Strait. Second place, winning $75 was Emily Fournier. And the first place winner, getting $100 was Mia Anderson. Money for the prizes came from Citizens Bank of Cochran, State Bank of Cochran, Four County Bank, and Great Oaks Bank. The art department thanks each of them for their support.
