High School Sports
Royals take advantage of Fitzgerald miscues to win.

Both BCHS and Fitzgerald had five hits Friday night. The difference was the Hurricanes committed seven errors to Bleckley's two. Those mistakes heled the Royals secure an 11-2 win. Brody Little went 1 for 2. Bleckley hosts Dodge March 9. JV at 4 pm with varsity to follow.

Lady Royals soccer stays hot.




It was girls only as the Lady Royals traveled to Monticello Friday afternoon looking for the season sweep. Jordyn Krieg’s third goal of the first half made it 5-1 BC. Krieg finished with five goals in a 9-2 win, the team’s eighth in a row. Aniston Dowdy had a goal and assist. Harlie Corner, Kyla Davis, and Carys Coleman scored one goal each. Madison Purvis had an assist. BCHS will host Washington County March 9 at 5:30 pm.

The Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department is holding a 30 for 30 raffle. Tickets are $30 each. The winner will be based on the 7 pm Georgia Cash 3 drawing. A different gun will be awarded with each winner. Tickets can be purchased by seeing any rec. department employee, board member, or by calling (478)934-3225.
