Community Prayer Service October 31.

A community prayer service will be held October 31 at 9 am at the peanut museum pavilion on Third Street. It will be led by House of Grace Senior Pastor Joey Williams.

Royals football Players of the Week.

BCHS Players of the Week for the Monticello game. Offense- Markeze Brown, Dominic Sasser. Defense- Caden Maxwell, Quintavis (Scooter) Slappy. Special Teams- Zeb Dubois. Academic- Tyler Wilcox. Scot Team- Zane Lassiter. The Royals host Lamar County for Homecoming October 23 at 7:30 pm. A fireworks show presented by the Cochran Bleckley Chamber of Commerce will take place following the game.

Darci Dillard was all smiles after hitting a walkoff two-run home run to win game one.
BCHS scored 22 runs, hit three home runs, as they defeated Bacon County 12-10 and 10-0 to advance in the GHSA playoffs.

City holding drive-thru trunk or treat October 31.

The City of Cochran will hold a drive-thru trunk or treat October 31 from 6 to 8 pm in the police department parking lot on Third Street. According to a Facebook post, motorists are instructed to enter the police department alley on Second Street where first responders will be lined up along each side to hand out bags of candy (so no one has to leave the vehicle.) Exit via Third Street once going through the line. Individually wrapped candy can be donated by dropping it off at Cochran Fire Department on First Street. Call (478)934-4282 for more information.
