City Hall changes hours, inside still closed to public.

Cochran City Hall will be open 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday starting today according to a post on the city Facebook page. The post also states city hall is still closed to the public.

"They did it." BCHS students graduate despite coronavirus-plagued year.

From numerous days of rain early on to the COVID-19 pandemic utliamtely cancelling school, prom, as well as spring sporting events, this year's senior class has been faced with much adversity. But they made it to the end, and received their diplomas in an early morning ceremony held at Royal Stiadum.

Saying goodbye to a legendary building.

A group of BCHS alumni talk in the hallway.
The building at 242 East Dykes Street has served as an educational home to students for 64 years. It'll be demolished to make way for the new primary school. Saturday afternoon, hundreds of former Cochran High School and BCHS students camee to get one last look at the building.

Success Academy students graduate.

Highlights included a message from House of Grace senior pastor Joey Williams and the presentation of the DGR's Clubhouse Scholarship to Bailey Serranzana.

GHSA increases maximum number of participants allowed for voluntary workouts.

The GHSA Sports Medicine Council met yesterday and voted to increase the maximum number of participants in voluntary conditioning from 20 to 25 starting Monday. According to a statement posted on the GHSA website, additional participants should be new to the group, and the current groups (including coaches)should remain the same except for the new participants. Other restrictions such as not being allowed to use balls or other equipment during workouts remain in place.
