Barons celebrate football season.

Though this year’s Barons football team didn’t make the playoffs, it wasn’t for ack of effort. Two of the team’s four losses were by six points. Players, coaches, and families met in the BCMS cafeteria Thursday night to celebrate the season with an awards banquet.
Head coach Ray Hardin said while they didn’t win as many games as he wanted, they did win the players. He had praise for their efforts throughout the season. Hardin noted how they looked out for each other, doing things like voting different people as team captains each week.

All players were introduced. Five awards were handed out. Four voted on by players. Best Offense- Omari Jackson. Best Defense- Nazario Johnson. Captain’s Awards- Cale Roland, Zane Lassiter. Barons Award- Marcus Newsom. Congratulations to all the award winners.
