First Baptist Church Trunk or Treat moved indoors.

Due to the threat of rain, First Baptist Church's Trunk or Treat set for tomorrow night has been moved from the Third Street sidewalk to inside the Fellowship Hall. Time remains 6-8 pm.

Local heroes enjoy lunch at BCMS.




(Photos courtesy Bleckley County Middle School.)Bleckley County Middle School hosted the annual Hero Luncheon on Tuesday, October 29. Each year the school invites Cochran’s local heroes: Police, Sherriff’s Department, Fire Department, and EMS to enjoy lunch and mingle with the students during each lunch period. Our heroes enjoyed a variety of soups and sandwiches as well as some delicious desserts provided by the faculty and staff. At BCMS, we feel that it is important to take time to thank these men and women who serve and protect us each and every day of the year!

Bleckley County Retired Educators will hold their monthly meeting on November 6 at noon in the main building of the County Extension Office, 165 E. Peacock Street. Guest speaker will be Danny Mathis. Members attending should Carolyn Mulkin by November 3 to confirm their meal.

Middle school cheerleaders save their best for last.

BCMS had their best performance of the season in finishing MGMSAA runner up. Had it not been for a deduction, they would've missed first place by just 4.5 points.
