The 10u all star baseball team lost their world series opener to Virginia 10-3. They play tomorrow at 10:30 am.

Having fun and raising funds at Dairy Queen.





Cochran Dairy Queen once again participated in Miracle Treat Day, the annual fundraiser done nationwide in which restaurants donate a portion of all Blizzard sales to the area's Children's Miracle Network hospital. There was fun for kids with characters from PJ Mask as well as a bounce house. Proceeds from sales and balloons purchased will go to the Beverly Knight Olsen Children's Hospital in Macon.

Change coming to Bypass and Dykes Street intersection.

If you’ve ever had to go halfway into the road while waiting to turn left at the Cochran Bypass and Dykes Street intersection, relief is coming. The Georgia Department of Transportation announced via social media “lagging left turn phases” would be implemented into all four corners of the intersection. On August 1, there will be traffic interruptions while contractors activate and sync up the system. What it means is, traffic going straight will go first, then those in the left lane will receive a signal to turn left.

Dates and times for back to school visitations, dazzlers to be at two schools.

Pre-K parent orientation will be July 29 at 6 pm. Visitation for Pre-K will be July 31 from 1-5 pm. Visitation for all other schools will be from 3:30 to 6 pm. The Royal Kingsmen Dazzlers will be at both Bleckley Primary and BCES during visitation.
