BCHS FBLA members receive honors.

Bleckley County High School FBLA students Olivia Williams and Maisi Corbin were selected as Region 5 officers at the state leadership conference held in March. Williams is the daughter of Amy and Kevin Williams, Corbin is the daughter of Dani and Rob Dykes. Both serve as local officers in BCHS FBLA. Williams and Corbin, along with Jillian Green, also recently completed the Business Achievement Leader Award. It required completing different activities and also getting national approval to receive the award. The members received their certificates and pins at this year’s state leadership conference. Congratulations to these young ladies on their accomplishments.

T-Shirt sale will benefit FCCLA, HOSA, students competing at nationals. ***Updated***





Bleckley County High School FCCLA and HOSA are selling T-Shirts to help raise funds attending national competition this summer. Cost is $15 for sizes youth XS-adult XL, $17 for 2 and 3 XL. Orders can be placed by emailing sparks@bleckley.k12.ga.us, cdykes@bleckley.k12.ga.us, or by calling (478)934-6258. Orders are due May 9, delivery May 17. Both groups are also still selling Krispy Kreme donuts and vouchers through May 7.

Royal Reverse Pageant will benefit CTSO's.

BCHS will host the Royal Reverse Pageant May 10 at 6 pm in the high school auditorium. Judges for this reverse beauty pageant will State Representative Danny Mathis, his wife Ellen Mathis, and Jordy Gray. Tickets are $7, students can purchase tickets for $5 on May 9 during lunch. Proceeds will benefit high school CTSO's. Audience members can vote for their favorite participant via cash donation in the People's Choice Award. Money collected will be given to Buddy Ball.
