It was a matchup of former region rivals as BCHS traveled to the Pit to take on Toombs County. According to ghsfha.org, it was the first meeting between the two since 2009, a 25-21 win in Lyons.

Eli Mullis started at quarterback due to James Teston being injured. The Bulldogs struck first on a 41-yard touchdown pass. The point after missed but Toombs led 6-0 with 9:13 left.

Eli Mullis was a threat both throwing and running.

Later in the quarter, aided by a Mulls keeper on fourth and three from the 21, Mullis connected with Darwin Yates on an 11-yard touchdown pass. James Fordham’s kick was good, and BC led 7-6.
