An advertising opportunity for political candidates. ***Updated September 13***

Bleckley Progress has always been non-political in terms of endorsements as well as news. That's not going to change, but what I'm about to propose might get a candidate for office to advertise here.

My proposal is simple. For $15, you can have a summary page that would appear on the front of the site. In it, you could include your campaign logo, photo, link to website or Facebook page.

To further clarify, a $15 ad in the special announcements section would not include a full page article like this is. Rather it would be a short summation such as the latest middle school softball score.

For $30, you could have a full article page. On it, you could do an article on why people should vote for you, what your goals are if elected, etc. You would have complete free reign except for one caveat.

Your article must be about you. Discussing other candidates or people would not be allowed. I'm not great with HTML but I think I could do enough to make any link to your website or Facebook page clickable.

Also, for $30, I will pin your ad to the top of the page for two weeks. This would make it the first thing people see when they pull up the site.

So there you go, candidates for office. You have the opportunity to reach a lot of people, people who are interested in the Cochran/Bleckley community. If you have any questions, please email BleckleyProgress@aol.com/bleckleyprogress@gmail.com or call (478)230-6556.

Thanks for your time.
