It was the regular season home opener as well as region opener for BCHS as they welcomed Dublin to the Castle Tuesday night. The Lady Royals won big while the Royal offense was like the weather, cold.

The BC girls raced out to a 42-6 halftime lead. Though going over four minutes in the third before their first basket, it was still 53-12 after three. Play was stopped with 3:16 left in the game due to a Dublin player who was injured while pursuing a loose ball, she crashed into the rail.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and The Summit at First Baptist Church were Tuesday night's game sponsors. Boys head coach Garrett Collins is pictured with Dr. Lane Collins, Cody Giddens with son Boone, and Jamie Davis.

After a lengthy delay which included the player being carried out of the gym on a stretcher, the game was called. Bleckley won 58-20. Jordan Mathis and Ava Jenkins each scored 10 points.

Down three points after one and despite only scoring seven points in the second, BC trailed 26-20 at halftime. Down seven going to the fourth, a Patrick Roberts three got BC within 43-40. Dublin though closed the game 9-2 to win 52-42. Nykez Farrow scored 19 points.
