(All photos contributed.)Opening ceremonies for the 21st Bible Reading Marathon will be April 26 from 6 to 7 pm on the courthouse square. BCHS student Allie Hattaway will sing the national anthem. Guest speaker will be State Representative Danny Mathis. The first reader will be 5 year-old Kayli Nguyen - Niece of Rick and Mi Waters The second reader will be 6 year-old Stella Richards - Daughter of Thomas and Lacey Richards. Royals win at Swainsboro.

BCHS guaranteed a win in their region series against Swainsboro with an 8-3 win at Swainsboro Thursday afternoon. Braegan Cravey was 3 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI. Gavin Cole was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Clayton Beck struck out seven over seven innings pitched. It will be senior night as well as rec. department night tomorrow when the Royals close out the regular season at home against the Tigers. Senior Night activities will be at 5:30 pm with a game time of 5:45.

Area church holding special service, luncheon for local public safety personnel.

Limestone Baptist Church will hold a "Public Safety Heroes" luncheon April 28. It will include a service at 11 am followed by lunch at noon. All local law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel are invited to attend with a guest. Signup by April 24. Call (478)934-7766 for more info.
