What's closed for President's Day?

Monday, October 13 is President's Day, a federal holiday. All federal, state, and local (city hall, county courthouse) government offices will be closed. Banks will be closed and there will be no mail delivery. While national chain stores such as Walmart will be open, some local businesses could be closed.

The BCHS Competition Cheerleaders had a good day at North Forsyth. They had their highest score of the season and had 0 deductions as they brought home first place. BC returns to action Ocotber 25 at the East Laurens Falcon Frenzy.

BCHS softball will open the GHSA playoffs at Jeff Davis October 15. Game times are 4 and 6 pm. The *if* game is October 16 at 6 pm.

Barons edge Yellow Jackets to clinch title game berth. ***Updated***

The Royal Kingsmen Band, who were there to play and support the Barons, performed their halftime show after the game.

Trailing 14-12 in the fourth quarter against Jeff Davis in their playoff game Thursday afternoon, CJ Taylor’s second touchdown run of the game, followed by a successful conversion, gave the Barons a 20-14 lead with 4:20 left. The Jackets got a long run with 42 seconds left to tie the game, the conversion failed. Taylor scored his third touchdown of the game with 22 seconds left. The conversion was successful and BC held on to win 28-20. They’ll play for the MGMSAA title versus Dublin October 16 at Royal Stadium. Kickoff is 5 pm. Admission is $7 per person.
