Girls golf repeats as state runner up.

Middle, high school bands play their final tunes of the year.

Bleckley middle and high school band students performed their final numbers at an end of year concert held Tuesday night. It featured performances by the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade bands, as well as the BCHS Wind Ensemble.


Following the high school performance, end of year awards were handed out. Pictured are (L-R) Bella Williams, Adam Little, Allyson Burke, and Delilah Smetzer. The four received their band pathway cords for completing four years of both marching band and concert band. Little (second) received the John Phillip Sousa Award. Burke was recipient of the Patrick S. Gilmore Award.

Soccer teams celebrate season.

Players, families, and coaches enjoyed a night of pizza and fellowship at the BCHS soccer awards banquet held in the middle school cafeteria. While the boys were hurt by injuries, the girls finished region runner up, clinching a playoff berth. Specific awards were as follows. Girls 3-AA All Region (selected by coaches at postseason meeting.) Offensive Player of the Year- Jayda Danner. Defensive Player of the Year- Brianna Richards. First team- Anna Brown, Tori Long. Honorable Mentions- Katie Curry, Arie Williams, Molly Williams.
Team awards (Voted on by players). JV Most Improved Offense, Jalexia Taylor. JV Most Improved Defense- Ambree Davis. Varsity awards. Brown was named Best Midfielder. Danner, Best Striker. Richards Best Defender. Long, MVP


Boys 3-AA All Region. First team- Treg Corner. Honorable Mentions- Tucker Jones, Jackson Paulk, Skyler White.
Team awards (Voted on by players.) JV Most Improved Offense- Chase Barton. JV Most Improved Defense- Michael Waught. Varsity Awards. Corner won Best Midfielder. Paulk Best Striker. Jones won both Best Defender and MVP. Congratulations to all the award winners.

High School Sports
Another great year for BCHS tennis.

One of the gifts given to coach Brad Sanders by the seniors was a popcorn machine. Popcorn was said to be one of his favorite snacks.
BCHS tennis continued its tradition of excellence this year. Two region titles, a girls state title, a boys berth in the semifinals. The season was celebrated Monday night at an end of season awards ceremony.
