BCHS Honors, AP Classes, thank community for support of bake sale.

The Bleckley County High School AP and Honors, Science, Economics, and Math classes held their annual pre-Thanksgiving bake sale Tuesday morning in the First Baptist Church parking lot. Proceeds will go toward an education trip to Universal Studios in Orlando this January. A thank you to everyone who came out in support of them despite the less than favorable weather.

Bleckley County Fire Department thanks Robins FCU for donation.

The grant was used to purchase training material for CPR, baby sitter training , first aid , wilderness first aid and MCI (mass casualty incident) dolls. The BCFD thanks Robins Financial for the grant.

Wrapping up a good few days at softball camp.



BCHS softball wrapped up the first annual Lady Royals Softball Camp Friday afternoon. It was a good turnout with 52 girls participating. They learned basics of the game from coaches as well as players. Thursday, University of South Carolina Lady Gamecock softball player Aniyah Black visited and demonstrated skills she’d picked up. Afte the final baserunning drill Friday, players headed to the Sunset Slush of Cochran trailer for a special treat. A slush with double scoops paid for by the camp. The Lady Royals thank the parents for letting their girls participate, the girls for their hard work, Aniyah for coming out, and Sunset Slush for being there Friday afternoon.

(Contributed.) The BCHS Beta Club held a car wash and bake sale Saturday morning to raise funds for those students attending nationals in June. They had a good turnout. The Beta Club thanks the community for their support.
